1. Click on the Rhapsody.com Home page or My Rhapsody.
   
   
   
   The "Set Up Your Profile" page opens.
   
   
2. Select an icon. Click the button next to the blank icon to get started. A selection of icons appear.
   
   
   
3. Click the icon you want to represent your profile.
   
   
   
4. Choose your URL name. A URL name is a simple way for your friends to find your profile. For example, if you choose "supermusicfan," your Rhapsody Profile URL will be www.rhapsody.com/members/supermusicfan.
   
   Type the name you'd like to use into the URL field.
   
   
   
   
5. To find out if your URL is available, click the Check for Availability link. If your URL is available, you will be notified, and you can go to the next step. If it is not available, you will be asked to choose a new one. Click the Reset link to erase the URL you've entered and start over.
   
   
   
   
6. Choose your screen name. If you want your screen name to be the same as your URL, leave the field blank. To choose a different screen name, type it in.
   
   
   
   Tip: making your screen name and your URL the same will make your URL easier for your friends to find.
   
   
7. Select your privacy level.
   
   
• Select Public to make your profile available to the Rhapsody.com community.
  
  
• Select Private to make your profile visible to you only.
  
  
• Check Allow other members... to let other Rhapsody.com members search for your profile with your email address.
  
  
8. Enter your "About Me" information (optional). Answer a series of fun questions to let other Rhapsody.com members know a bit about you.
   
9. Save your profile information. Scroll down the page and click the Save button.
   
   
   You're done! Your profile page will now display the information you've entered.
   
   

 

Look for the "Your Profile" box on My Rhapsody. Click Go To My Profile Page to see your profile.

You can edit everything about your profile at any time, except for your URL name.

To edit your Profile page:

1. In the "Your Profile" box on My Rhapsody, click .
   
   
2. Click Edit, at the top right of your About box. The "Set Up Your Profile" box opens.
   
   
   
   
3. Edit any information you want to, then click Save. You can edit your information as often as you'd like.
   
   
   
   Note:You can't edit your URL name. Once you've chosen it, it's permanent. You can edit your screen name, however.

Feature		What Does it Do?
Music At A Glance		Shows the music you have been playing. The "Trends" view shows the genres you have been listening to, and the artists in those genres. Click next to a genre to view all the artists under it. Click next to a genre to hide the artist names. The "Charts" view shows the top ten albums, tracks, and artists you have recently played. Click the links to change views.
Recent Tracks		Shows the tracksyou have most recently played. Recent Tracks are public by default. To hide your recent track history: Click Edit. Privacy options will open. Select Hide listening history. Click Save.
Playlists		Displays playlists you have created and selected to show on your profile. For more information about playlists on your Profile page, see How do I show playlists on my Profile page, below.
Favorite Profiles		Displays other Rhapsody community profiles you have added to your Favorites. Click next to a screen name to see that person's top recent artists. Click next to a screen name to hide the list of top recent artists. Click a screen name to view that person's profile. For more information on adding profiles, see How do I find other people's Profile pages, below.
Your Feeds		Click to view RSS feedsStands for Really Simple Syndication. An RSS feed is a stream of content from a frequently updated website. for your personal listening history.
Ratings		Click Create Instant Playlist to get a playlist made from tracks you have rated. Click the Options link to view and edit your Instant playlist options.

You can choose to make your playlists made from Rhapsody tracksTracks that are streamed, downloaded, or purchased from Rhapsody. visible on your Profile page.

To show your playlists:

1. Find the Playlists box on your Profile page. Click the Edit button.
   

2. Find the Playlists box on your Profile page. Click the Edit button. A list of the playlists you have created or collected opens. Select (check) the playlists you want to show on your Profile page.
   
   
   
   The playlists you select will be displayed on your Profile page. Click Edit to add or remove playlists from your profile at any time. To remove a playlist, deselect (uncheck) it, then click Save.
   
   

 

If you know a friend's email address, you can search for his profile using the address. You can look for the profiles of people with similar interests on Artist Information pages. And if you know a friend's Rhapsody URL name, you can navigate directly to his Profile page.

To search for profiles via email address:

1. Find the Favorite Profiles box on your Profile page. Click the Edit button. A "Member's email" field opens.
   

2. Type in your friend's email address.
   
   

3. Click Search. If a match is found, your friend's profile will be displayed.
   
   
4. Click the profile name to see your friend's Profile page.
   
   
5. Click in the About box to add your friend's profile to your favorites. The next time you visit your Favorite Profiles box on your Profile page, the friends you've added will be listed.
   
   

• Click a profile name in the Favorite Profiles box to go to that Profile page.
  
  
• Click next to a screen name to see that person's Top Recent Artists list.
  
  
  
  
• Click next to a profile name to close that person's Top Recent Artists list.
  
  

To search for profiles on an Artist page:

1. Navigate to an Artist Information page. You can do that by typing an artist name in the Search box at the top of the Rhapsody.com page.
   
   
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Artist Information page. You will find a selection of profiles of people who are listening to that artist.
   
   Note: This is not a complete listing of everyone who listens to this particular artist.
   
   
   
   
3. Click a screen name to view that person's profile.
   
   
4. If you want to add the profile to your favorites, click in the About box.
   
   

To navigate directly to a Profile page using a URL name:

1. Type http://www.rhapsody.com/member/ into your internet browser address line, then enter your friend's URL name at the end of the address.
   
   

2. Press [ENTER] on your keyboard. His Profile page opens.
   
   

Note: A Rhapsody member's URL name is not necessarily the same as his screen name. Check with your friend to make sure you are using his URL name.

 

You can see what your friends are listening to and find new music on Rhapsody community Profile pages.

You can add the profile to your favorites. Click in the About box.

• Find out what this person is playing. Look at Trends and Charts to find the genres, artists, tracks and albums they've recently listened to. Check out Recent Tracks to see the very latest music they've played.
  
  
• Read "A Little About Me" to find out a bit about this person's musical tastes.
  Note: This is an optional section of a Profile page, and the Rhapsody member may not have filled it out.
  
  
• Get an Instant playlist made from the music this person has rated. Click in the Ratings box.
  
  
• Play or save the playlists this person has chosen to show on his Profile page.
  
  
  • Click to listen to a playlist.
    
    
  • Click to add the playlist to your collection.
    
    
  • Click any artist name to go to that Artist Information page.
    
    
    
    
• Check out their Favorite Profiles. Click a screen name to visit that profile.
