My Library

1. Click My Library in the Sources area to show the contents of My Library in the Display area.
   
   
2. If you are not in the Music view, click the Music tab.
   
   
   
   
3. Double-click any track in My Library to play it.
   
   
   
   or:

1. Select the track or tracks you want to play.
   
   
2. Right-click the tracks.
   
   
3. Select Play Now from the right-click menuMenu of alternate commands or choices; available when you click the right mouse button while using an application..

or:

1. Drag and drop tracks to the Mixer in the Playlists/Mixer area.
   
   
2. Playback will start from the first track in the dragged selection. Double-click any track in the Mixer to begin playback from that point in the queue.

 

1. Click My Library in the Sources area to view the contents of My Library in the Display area.
    
2. Type a search term or terms (keywords) into the Search field (at the top-right of the Tracks view). Search will filter your Library view as you type, searching for exact or partial matches in track name, artist name, album name, or genre in the Track Info embedded in each track in your Library.
   
   
    
3. To clear the current search and restore the standard Tracks view, click Clear (next to the Search My Library field).

• Search terms are not case sensitive. At this time, Library Search does not support the "percent" character ( % ) or the underscore ( _ ).
  
  
• To search for photos and videos is My Library, click the Photos or Videos tab, then enter a keyword into the Search field.
  
  

1. Click My Library in the Sources area to view the contents of My Library in the Display area.
   
   
2. Click the bar between the Sources area and My Library to show the Library Organizer, if it is not currently visible.

3. Use the drop-down list in the Organizer to sort the contents of My Library by Albums, Artists, or Genres.
   
   
4. Click next to a sort group (for example, an album name) to list sub-groups.

5. Click any item in the Organizer to display the related tracks. (For example, click an artist name to view all tracks by that artist, a genre name to view all tracks in that genre, or an album name to view all tracks in that album.)

• Use the Photos and Videos tabs to browse for pictures and videos you have imported to My Library.
  
  

 

To delete tracks from the main Library view:

1. Click My Library in the Sources area to show the contents of My Library.
   
   
2. Click the Music tab if your tracks are not currently visible.
   
   
3. Find and select the track(s) you wish to delete.
   
   
4. Press [DELETE] on your keyboard.
   
   
5. If you have selected Ask for confirmation when deleting... in My Library Preferences and the selection includes one or more localMusic files saved on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local." tracks (purchased Rhapsody tracks, downloaded Rhapsody tracksRhapsody tracks that have been downloaded to your computer, but not purchased. You can play these tracks when you are signed out, and with a Rhapsody To Go subscription, you can transfer them to a compatible portable device., tracks imported from a CD or added from your hard drives), a "Confirm track deletion" dialog will open.
   
   Select Also delete tracks from my hard drive from that dialog if you want to delete the associated file from your computer.

Warning: If you do not have Ask for confirmation when deleting... selected but you do have Remove tracks from my hard drive when I delete... in My Library Preferences, any local track you delete will have its associated file removed from your hard drive without confirmation or warning.

5. Click Yes to delete the track(s).

To delete artists, albums or genres from the Organizer:

1. Click   My Library in the Sources area to show the contents of My Library.
   
   
2. Click the bar between the Sources area and My Library  to view the Library Organizer, if it is not already open.
   
   

3. Use the Organizer drop-down menu to find and  select the artist, album, or genre you wish to delete.
   
   
4. Press [DELETE] on your keyboard.

Warning: Removing any category from the Organizer will remove all the contents of that category from My Library. For example, removing an artist will remove all tracks and albums by that artist. Removing an album will remove all tracks from that album. Removing a genre will remove all tracks, artists, and albums in that genre.

5. If you have selected Ask for confirmation when deleting... in My Library Preferences and the selection includes one or more localMusic files saved on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local." tracks (purchased Rhapsody tracks, downloaded Rhapsody tracksRhapsody tracks that have been downloaded to your computer, but not purchased. 6. Click Yes to delete the track(s).

You can edit the Track Info in My Library in two ways.

Edit track info from the right-click menu:

• Right-click a track or tracks, then select Edit Track Info from the right-click menu.
  
  

Edit tracks inline, directly from the Display area view of My Library:

1. Select a track property, such as the track name, album name, or genre.
   
   
2. Click that track property a second time.
   
   
3. Type in the new information.
   
   
4. Press [ENTER] on your keyboard.

The information you entered will be reflected in Track Info.

 

A list of all the Rhapsody tracksTracks that have been streamed, downloaded, or purchased from Rhapsody. that you have added to My Library from the Music Guide is kept on the Rhapsody serversAny computers or programs that are ‘serving’ information to another machine or program; RealServers, for instance, serve content to Rhapsody.. Whenever you sign in to Rhapsody from any computer, Rhapsody servers compare the contents of My Library with the server-sideInformation that is stored on Rhapsody's servers rather than on your local computer. All the Rhapsody tracks in your Library are stored on Rhapsody servers, making them available from any computer. library list, and update the contents of My Library.

Any changes you make to My Library from one computer will show up on any other computer you sign in to. The computer doesn't have to be authorizedA computer or portable deviice ou have enabled to work with Rhapsody.. You can sign in to your account from Rhapsody.com.

LocalMusic files saved on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local.", non-Rhapsody tracks (imported CD tracks and tracks downloaded from a source other than Rhapsody) will not appear in My Library when you sign in from another computer. They exist only on the computer on which they were saved.
