Playing and Importing CD Tracks

1. Put an audio CD into your computer's CD drive. The CD icon will appear in the Sources area and, if Rhapsody recognizes it, the title of the CD will appear next to the icon.
   
   
   
   
2. The contents of the CD will appear in the Display area if you have chosen Show tracks in CD view in the CD Importing and Playback preferences. If the CD's contents don't appear, click in the Sources area next to the CD you want play.
   
   

   Note:  If you have selected Get CD info online in your CD Importing and Playback Preferences, Rhapsody will attempt to retrieve your CD Info. If there are multiple matches, you will be prompted to choose one.

   
   
   
3. Click at the top of the Display area to start playing the CD from the beginning.
   
   or:

3. Double-click any track in the CD list to start playback from that track.
   
   
   
   You can use Repeat   and Shuffle    in the Rhapsody Player Controls, either separately or in combination, to customize your listening experience.
   
   

 

1. Insert a prerecorded CD into your computer's CD drive. The CD icon , and if Rhapsody recognizes it, the name of the CD will appear in the Sources area.
   
   
2. If the CD contents don't appear in the Display area, click the CD icon or CD name in the Sources area to display them.
   
   

   Note:  You can choose to have the contents of any CD you insert while running Rhapsody automatically appear in the Display area by selecting Tools > Preferences: CD Importing & Playback and choosing Show tracks in CD view. You can also select other importing options from this preference.

   
   
   
3. If you have Get CD title and track info online selected in your CD Importing & Playback Preferences, the CD Info lookup will automatically begin. If there is a multiple match, you will be prompted to select one.
   
   
4. Select tracks for importing. All tracks will be selected by default. If there are any tracks you don't want to import, deselect them by clicking the checkmark in the box to the left of the track.
   
   
   
   You can select or deselect all the tracks at once by checking or unchecking the box at the top of the track list.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Import CD, at the top of the Display area.
   
   
   
   If you click Import CD before CD Info lookup is complete, you will be given the option to proceed without the CD Info, or cancel the import. 
   
   
• Progress is indicated by a blue bar next to each of the selected tracks.
  
  
• When the importing process is complete, the newly saved tracks are automatically added to My Library.
  
  

1. Select a track in the CD view of the Display area.
   
   
2. Click the Track or Artist field.
   
   
3. Click the field a second time. The track or artist name will display a dark blue highlight.
   
   
   
   
4. Type in the track name or artist name.
   
   
5. Press [ENTER] on your keyboard to save the new name.
   
   or:
   
   
1. Select a track in the CD view of the Display area.
   
   
2. Select Edit Track Info from the right-click menuMenu of alternate commands or choices; available when you click the right mouse button while using an application..
   
   
3. Enter the information you wish to add or edit. The next time you play that CD on that computer, the CD Info you entered will be available.

• CD Info you enter using the Track Info will be available only on the computer you used to enter that CD's  information. It will not be available if you sign in to your Rhapsody account from another computer.
  
  
• If you edit CD Info for a CD using Track Info, then import tracks from that CD, the CD Info you entered will be retained for the imported tracks, and will appear in My Library.
