My Rhapsody

To enter genres for the first time:

1. Click the My Rhapsody tab at the top of the Music Guide pages, or click a My Rhapsody link on the What's New, Music Guide, Channel Guide or Playlist Central home pages to go to My Rhapsody.
   
   
2. Under Set Up My Rhapsody or My Genres, click Add Genres Now.
   
   
   
   
3. The "My Genres" window opens.
   
   
   
   
4. Select a top-level genre from the drop-down list.
   
   
5. Select a first sub-genre, and a second sub-genre if it is offered.
   
   
6. Click Add.
   
   
7. Continue to add genres. You can have up to ten genres in your My Genres list at any time.
   
   
8. When you have finished adding genres, click I'm Done - Return to My Rhapsody. Music suggestions will be waiting for you.

You can have up to ten genres in the My Genres list at any time.

Note: My Genres is only a part of My Rhapsody. The more music you play and rate, the better your My Rhapsody music recommendations will be.

1. Click the My Rhapsody tab at the top of the Music Guide pages, or click a My Rhapsody link on the What's New, Music Guide, Channel Guide or Playlist Central home pages to go to My Rhapsody.
   
   
2. Select Edit My Genres under My Genres on the My Rhapsody home page. (If you have never added genres before, the button will read Add Genres Now.)
   
   
   
   The "My Genres" window opens.
   
   
   
   
3. Remove genres by clicking Remove next to the genre you wish to delete.
   
   
4. Add a new genre by selecting from the Top-Level Genre drop-down list. Select a primary and secondary sub-genre, if prompted to do so.
   
   
5. Click Add to add your new genre to the My Genres list.
   
   
6. When you have finished adding and deleting genres, click I'm Done - Return to My Rhapsody. Add and delete genres as often as you wish. The music suggestions on My Rhapsody will reflect your choices.
   
   
   
   You can have up to ten genres in the My Genres list at any time.

2. Click Artist Alerts under My Features on the My Rhapsody home page. The "Set Artist Alerts" window opens.
   
   
   
   
3. Type the names of artists you wish Rhapsody to track for you.
   
   
4. Click Add Artists to add your artists to the Artist Alerts list. Add as many artists as you wish, there is no limit.
   
   (Delete artists from the Artist Alerts list at any time by clicking Remove next to that artist's name.)
   
   
5. If there are multiple choices for the artist names you entered, select the artist you wanted from the drop-down list.
   
   
   
   
6. Select (check) Notify Me.
   
   
7. If you have just added new artists, click Update.
   
   
8. Click I'm Done - Return to My Rhapsody. You will receive email alerts any time new music from your artists is added to Rhapsody.

My Rhapsody offers may ways to enjoy personalized music. Explore the page to find new music, and refine the recommendations Rhapsody gives you.

• Click Albums For You to see albums that Rhapsody recommends for you, based on your genres list.
  
  
• Click New Releases: to see new releases in your selected genres.
  
  
• Click Just Added to see music just added to Rhapsody in your selected genres.
  
  
• Sign up for Artist Alerts to get email whenever music by your favorite artists is added to Rhapsody.
  
  
• Click My Charts to see your personal Top Albums, Top Artists, and Top Tracks, based on your rating and listening history.
  
  
• Check out My Ratings to see and edit all the music and artists you've rated in Rhapsody.
  
  
• Play or save My Dynamic Playlist, a playlist Rhapsody makes for you based on your listening history.
  
  
• Play or save My Rhapsody Channel, a special Rhapsody Radio channel based on music you've listened to, rated, and your selected genres.
  
  
• See and share the playlists you've published to Playlist Central.
