Rating in Rhapsody

You can rate almost everything in Rhapsody. Rhapsody track ratings are part of your portable Library. Your ratings will be available whenever you sign in to your Rhapsody account, from any computer.

Artists		You can rate artists in the following areas of the Music Guide: Artist pages. "Key Artist" pages (Links to Key Artist pages are found on Genre pages)
Albums		Album pages in the Music Guide.
Tracks		You can rate tracks in a number of areas of Rhapsody: The Rhapsody Player Controls The "Rating" column of My Library or the Mixer Track Info Album pages in the Music Guide
Playlists		Individual playlist pages on Playlist Central.

You can rate any track, album or artist in the Music Guide. You must be signed in to your Rhapsody account to rate in the Music Guide.

1. Click Rhapsody Music Guide in the Sources area to open the Music Guide pages.
   
   
2. Browse or search the Music Guide, What's New, or My Rhapsody to find tracks, albums and artists you want to rate.
   
   

Note: You can rate tracks and albums from an album view. Just click the name or album art of any album to view its contents. You can also rate from other views in the Music Guide, such as Just Added or Staff Picks. You can rate artists from artist pages as well.

• Next to any track, select a star, or the ban icon.
  
  
  
  From left to right, one star indicates a less-favored track, artist or album, and five stars indicates a favorite track, artist or album. A banned track, artist or album will never appear in My Rhapsody as a suggestion, or as part of My Dynamic Playlist.
  
  
• Next to any album name select a star, or the ban icon.
  
  
  
  
• On any artist page, select a star, or the ban icon to rate the artist.
  
  
  
  

You can always change your rating at a later date in the Music Guide by selecting a different star.

To rate from the Rating column in the Mixer:

1. Widen the mixer by clicking the bar on the right and dragging it toward the Display area.
   
   
   
   
2. If the rating column is not showing, right-clickClick the right mouse button while using an appllication to display an alternate menu of commands or choices. a column header and select Rating.
   
   
   
   
3. Click a star or the ban icon in the Rating column for any track to rate it.
   
   
   

You can change the rating of a previously rated track at any time by simply clicking a different star.

To rate a track from the right-click menu:

1. Right-clickClick the right mouse button while using an appllication to display an alternate menu of commands or choices. a track in the Mixer. The right-click menu opens.
   
   
2. Click a star or the ban icon in the rating selector.
   
   

You can also rate from Track Info. Just select Edit Track Info from the right-click menu.

To rate from the Rating column in My Library:

1. Click My Library in the Sources area.

3. Click a star or the ban icon in the Rating column for any track to rate it.
   
   

To rate a track from the right-click menu:

1. Right-clickClick the right mouse button while using an appllication to display an alternate menu of commands or choices. a track in My Library. The right-click menu opens.
   
   
2. Click a star or the ban icon in the rating selector.
   
   

You can also rate from Track Info. Just select Edit Track Info from the right-click menu.

1. If the Music Guide pages are not currently open, click Rhapsody Music Guide in the Sources area.
   
   
2. Click the Playlist Central tab at the top of the Music Guide pages.
   
   
3. Click any playlist name to view its contents.
   
   
4. Click any number in the Rating Selector (beneath the playlist art) to rate it.
   
   
   
   From left to right, "1" indicates a less-favored playlist, and "5"indicates a favorite playlist. You can change your rating on a playlist if you want, but you must first leave the playlist view and then return to it.

Note: Ratings in Playlist Central do not affect your recommendations in My Rhapsody. They are separate from other ratings in Rhapsody.

You can see all the tracks, albums, and artists you've rated on the My Rhapsody Ratings page. Access My Rhapsody Ratings from the "My Rhapsody" list on the Music Guide home page (left), or from My Ratings list on the My Rhapsody home page (right).

From the My Rhapsody Ratings page, you can change the rating of any track, album, or artist you've rated so far in Rhapsody.

• Click the Artist Ratings tab to view the artists you've rated (default view).
  
• Click the Album Ratings tab to view the albums you've rated.
  
• Click the Track Ratings tab to view the tracks you've rated.
  
  

To change a rating for any item, simply click a different star. Your rating will be recorded and saved on the Rhapsody Servers.

Use the Sort By drop-down list to sort your rated content by:

• Rating: Descending (best to worst ratings)
  
• Rating: Ascending (worst to best ratings)
  
• Name: Ascending (A-Z)
  
• Name: Descending (Z-A)

The more tracks, albums, and artists you rate, the more accurate and interesting your personal music suggestions in My Rhapsody will be.

• Higher ratings help Rhapsody determine what kind of music you like.
  
• Lower ratings  help Rhapsody determine what kind of music you don't care for.
  
• Banned tracks, albums, and artists will never be offered as  personal music suggestions on My Rhapsody.
  
• Banned artists, albums, and tracks will never appear in the contents of My Dynamic Playlist.
  
• Remember, you can change your ratings at any time.
  
  

Note: Rating playlists in Playlist Central does not affect your recommendations in My Rhapsody. Playlist Central ratings are separate from ratings in the rest of Rhapsody.
