The Rhapsody Radio Channel Guide

To add a Rhapsody channel to My Channels:

1. Click the Radio tab at the top of the Music Guide pages.
   
   
2. Browse for Rhapsody channels you like.
   
   
3. Click next to any channel to add it to My Channels in the Sources area.

or:

3. Drag and drop channel names to My Channels in the Sources area.
   
   

To delete a Rhapsody channel from My Channels:

1. Click My Channels in the Sources area to view My Channels in the Display area.
   
   
2. Select the channel you want to delete.
   
   
   
   
3. Press [DELETE] on your keyboard.

• You must be signed in to your Rhapsody account to delete Rhapsody channels.

 

My Rhapsody Channel is a channel that Rhapsody creates for you based on your favorite artists and genresTypes or categories. For example, rock,classical, country or rap.. My Rhapsody Channel will usually be made up from:

• Four artists from your recent listening history.
• Three of your top ranked artists.
• Three key artists from the genres you select in My Rhapsody.

To generate My Rhapsody Channel, just click or in the My Rhapsody Channel box on the Radio Guide page.

Clicking will just play the channel. If you want to save it to My Channels, click .

 

 

1. Click the Radio tab at the top of the Music Guide pages.
   
   
2. At the top of the Radio Guide, click Create Custom Channel . the "Custom Channel" page opens.
   
   

or:

1. Click My Channels in the Sources area. My Channels opens in the Display area.
   
   
2. Click at the top of the Display area. The Custom Channel page opens.
   
   
   
   
3. Type a name for your custom channel.
   
   
   
   
4. Type artist names in the fields provided.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Add Artists to add the artists you've entered to your channel. You can have up to ten artists in any one custom channel.
   
   Rhapsody will try to match your selections. If there is not an exact match, Rhapsody will provide a drop-down list or lists of possible choices. Select the desired artist and click Continue.
   
   
   
   
6. After you have entered all the artist names you want to, click Save Channel.
   
   
   
   To see your new channel, select My Channels in the Sources area. Your custom channel will appear in the My Channels view of the Display area.
   
   

 You can edit your channel at any time by clicking Modify next to the channel name in the My Channels list.

Your custom channel will play selections by the artists you have entered, as well as other artists in similar genres.

 

With the right subscription, you can transfer Rhapsody Radio channels directly from the Radio Channel Guide, or from My Channels, to your compatible player or device. To transfer Rhapsody Radio channels from the Radio Channel Guide:

1. Attach your compatible player to your computer.
   
   
2. If the Music Guide pages are not open, click Rhapsody Music Guide in the Sources area to view them.
   
   
3. Click the Radio tab.
   
   
4. Drag and drop the titles of Rhapsody Radio channels to your device name in the Sources area.
   
   

To transfer Rhapsody Radio channels from My Channels:

1. Attach your portable device to your computer.
   
   
2. Click My Channels in the Sources area. Your saved Radio channels are displayed.
   
   
3. Drag and drop Rhapsody Radio channel names from the My Channels view of the Display area to your portable device name in the Sources area.
   
   If you don't have any Radio channels in My Channels, you can add them by dragging and dropping channels from the Radio Guide to  My Channels in the Sources area.

 

Each Rhapsody Radio channel is made of tracks from Rhapsody's immense library of online music, programmed by our talented editors and based on the station's description, or in the case of custom channels, your selections. For example:

• A single-artist Rhapsody Radio channel will play tracks by that artist, and artists in the same genre.
   
• A genre-based channel, such as Alt Country, or Indie Rock, will play tracks by artists in that genre.  
   
• A custom channel will play tracks by the artists you select, and other, similar artists in the same genres.
  
  (If you want to hear only music by your selected artists, not including similar artists, you might consider creating a playlist including only those artists.)

• With the right subscription, you can skip Rhapsody Radio channel tracks you don't like.  Just click the Next button ( ) in your Rhapsody Player controls.

• Drag and dropA method of moving files from one place to the other. Click and hold the left mouse button while the cursor is over the item you want to move. Drag the item to the new destination and release the left mouse button. any channels you want to My Channels  in the Sources area for easy access later.

• If you have a compatible player and a Rhapsody PremierA level of subscription that allows you to download tracks without purchasing them, and transfer tracks to a portable device wtihout purchasing them. or Rhapsody Premier PlusA level of subscription that allows you to download tracks without purchasing them, and transfer tracks to up to 3 portable devices without purchasing them. subscription, you can drag and drop Rhapsody Radio channels to your portable device. A Rhapsody Radio channel will add over three hours of music fitting that station's description onto your device.
