Display Area: The Portable Device View

If you have content on your device, like tracks, photos, videos, Rhapsody Radio channels, or playlists, click the plus sign ( + ) next to the portable device icon in the Sources area to see them.

Click any of the items in the list, like Tracks or Photos, to view and manage that content in the Display area.

Click the portable device icon itself to open the Portable Device Dashboard.

1. The Tracks view column headers. You can click headers to sort tracks, and click a star to rate tracks in the Rating column. Right-clickClick the right mouse button while using an appllication to display an alternate menu of commands or choices. the column headers to see what columns are available to you.
   
   
2. Your list of tracks on the portable device.

• Double-click any track to play it.
• Select a track and press [DELETE] on your keyboard to remove it from your device.

3. Your track stats. Tells you the number of tracks on your device, the total playing time, and the space the tracks take up on your device's hard drive.
   
   
   
   
4. The Device Options button. Click to edit your portable device options. You can edit even more options through your Rhapsody Preferences.
   
   
   
   
5. The Transfer button. Click to transfer the local contents of your Rhapsody Library to your portable device.
   
   
   
   
6. The Disconnect button. Click to disconnect your device from Rhapsody, so it can be safely unplugged from your computer.
   
   
   
   
7. Your Device Authorization information. Lets you know your device is authorized, and when you need to connect your device to your Rhapsody account to renew your authorizations.
   
   
   
   
8. The device stats. Shows how much storage space on the device is currently taken, and how much remains.

2. Your Rhapsody Radio channel names.
   
   
3. The artists in rotation on the channel, or the description of the channel.
   
   
4. Click the Update link to update your channel with fresh tracks.

3. Shows whether your playlists will be automatically transferred to your device each time you connect your device to your Rhapsody account. Select (check) to automatically transfer.
