Recommended System Requirements

• Windows Vista or XP Service Pack 2 with the latest Windows updates for full program functionality.

• The latest version of Windows Media Player

Minimum System Requirements

• Windows Vista or XP
• 1.5 gigahertz (GHz) processor or faster
• 512 MB RAM
• 2 GB available hard disk space (This is the minimum disk space required to install the program. Additional disk space is necessary for downloading music files.)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with JavaScript/Active Scripting enabled (Internet Explorer 7.0 recommended)
• Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher
• Windows Media Player 10 (Windows Media Player 11 recommended)
• 16-bit display recommended, 256 color display required
• 1024 x 768 display resolution recommended, 800 x 600 required
• A 16 bit sound card
• Speakers or headphones
• Broadband Internet connection

Notes:

• Rhapsody now supports 64-bit XP and Vista.
• Rhapsody 4 runs on Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP1 with the following limitations:
  • Downloading or transferring subscription tracks using Rhapsody Premiere or Rhapsody Premiere Plus is not supported on Windows 2000.
  • Channels do not work properly on Rhapsody Optimized portable devices on Windows XP Service Pack 1.
• For best results, it is recommended that you get the latest updates, patches, and service packs for your computer from Microsoft Windows Updates.

Device Transfer Requirements

Windows Vista or Windows XP with Windows Media Player 11 are recommended for using Rhapsody PremiereA level of subscription that allows you to download tracks without purchasing them, and transfer tracks to a portable device wtihout purchasing them. with a PlaysForSureA certification given by Microsoft to portable devices and content services which have been tested against compatibility and performance requirements. Mostly replaced by "Certified for Windows Vista" in 2007. device.

Regional Requirements

Rhapsody is only available to users in the United States at this time.

Does Rhapsody 4 work with the Intel-based Macintosh?

No. The Intel-based Macintosh is not compatible with Rhapsody at this time.
